As cities nationwide look to find ways to restart their faltering economies, some like Rhode Island are taking lessons from Pittsburgh. Governor Chafee and a group of invited Rhode Island guests recently visited the headquarters of UPMC, now located at the top of the U.S. Steel Tower, to get an understanding how Pittsburgh turned a town once dominated by Steel into a thriving research and innovation city.

East Liberty continues its plan for improvement with this latest entry—the Odeon Building. The building will be located on the corner of Penn and Highland Avenues, the most prominent site in the center of East Liberty’s commercial corridor and will feature a mixed-use projection facility, various eateries and three floors of Class A office space.
They are looking for interest from local business and businesses considering a relocation to Pittsburgh.
